Italian pizza, a household name all throughout the world, was invented in the city of Naples. Thermometer, again a household device, was invented in Italy. Piano, the most famous musical instrument, is the gift of Italy.





Volts, a unit of measuring electricity, is named after Alessandro Volt who was a world renowned physicist from Italy. Italy is the only nation in the world inside which there are two mini-states rather mini-nations, Vatican and San Marino. Ice cream cone is the creation of Italy. World famous coffee grinders and espresso machines were invented in Italy. Milan in Italy is one of the five fashion capitals of the world. Italy is one of the top nations in the consumption of wines, an average Italian citizen drinks 26 gallons of wine every year. In the era of Euro, the present currency of Italy, many people in the world do not know that Lira was the currency of Italy prior to Euro.

Tuscany has numerous churches, castles, art galleries, palaces, museums, piazzas, and many other places of artistic and architectural marvels.
