Italian Recipes Italian Cream Cake

Italy is famous throughout the world for its cuisine. Italian delicacies and desserts are regarded as the best crowd puller at any Italian restaurant. Here is a quick recipe for Italian Cream Cake, which works out as a better alternative to monotonous chocolate cake.

Ingredients

White sugar, eggs, butter, all purpose flour, baking soda, buttermilk, coarsely chopped pecans, extracts of almond and coconut, real vanilla extract, sweetened coconut powder or flakes, powdered sugar, cream cheese.









Preparation

First of all, make all the preliminaries and preparations for icing ready. Start with icing. Mix butter, powdered sugar and cream cheese in a bowl and beat it lightly until it becomes creamy. Cover it and put it in a refrigerator. You can make the nuts ready but should not add it to the cream. Nuts have to be added finally after spreading the icing on the cake. Now for preparing the cake, preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Lightly dust the pan with flour and remove the excess flour. Mix sugar and butter and beat lightly. Now add egg yolk and again beat the mixture. In another bowl, mix flour, a tinge of salt and baking soda and then add buttermilk. After mixing properly, you can add pecans, coconut, butter and egg whites. Mix the contents of both the bowls and put it on a pan and then in the oven for baking. Baking is required generally for about 20-25 minutes. Allow it to cools for 15-20 minutes, spread the icing, and decorate with nuts.
